Slave Morality, Ressentiment, and Recency Bias.

It’s done, you can leave now. But if you want a more elaborated explanation, read the followings:

First, Recency Bias.

People tend only to remember recent events and dilute the importance of the past.

This is the reason why we only remember a handful of influential people in history, like Albert Einstein, FDR, and…… I can’t recall. But you can do tenfold for the ones living—Musk, Bezos, Obama, Trump, Tate, etc.

The same can apply to a person's achievements. You don’t care about what Elon has done behind the scene, you only care about what he did in recent months. If you don’t like his take on free speech and actions on Twitter, you would hate him; if you don’t, you would love him.

But in reality, a person is so much more than just a “few months”. A man should be judged merely by his recent actions and events, but by his whole life without specific weightings on the recent years and months.

People don’t care. There are new media and netizens praying for his downfall, a little crack in his armour, and millions of arrows would seep in.

Second, Ressentiment
