Why HONOR is so IMPORTANT, and Worth Dying For.

Honor

It’s true that Honor is so important. British Writer William Shakespeare said that

Honor is the high respect and esteem that one receives from others

A famous Chinese quote said that

:“One cannot get fish and bear’s paw at the same time.”

Symbolising Honor and Life (sometimes) cannot be gained at the same time.

This is when you sacrifice the fish (your life) to fulfilled and retain the bear’s paw (honor).

It’s arguable that this will hold when you are at a young age with a lot to live for, but the principle still holds.

If you are okay with anything, you stand for nothing.

Religions

Modern manifestations of certain religions will allow people to be gay, have premarriage sex, and smoke when their corresponding religious laws and rules clearly forbid so.

They have no self-respect, so how can you expect respect from others? And thus how would you have honor?

You might argue that honor doesn’t mean anything and that you don’t care about what others say.
