Trolley Problem: I will kill those 5 people, without a doubt

There are 5 people on a trail

and you are in a trolley about to hit those 5 people

you have a lever, and you can choose to pull it

by pulling it, you can save those 5 people

but as a cost, you will kill an innocent person (simplified version)

will you actually do it (pulling the lever)?

I will give you my answer upfront

NO, definitely NOT, without hesitations!!

I am going to kill those 5 people

However, in reality, most people will choose to

save those 5 people by killing that 1 person

As a matter of fact, over 80% of people

would choose to do so

and you might say

“Oh…..it’s very cold-blooded for me to choose to kill those 5 people”

But in actuality, I didn’t “kill” those 5 people,

I only….. let. them. die.
