Definition of Solipsism, Materialism, and the world

Solipsism is the belief that besides the mind (consciousness) of mine, nothing else can be proven, not you, not my virgin body, not my brain, not my imaginary girlfriend, just me my consciousness.

Materialism is that everything, every-single-fucking-thing that we can see, or not see, they all exist objectively. The “world” doesn’t care about my loser ass dying or not, they will exist after my demise.

The “world” doesn’t mean the earth, but the world that we “live” in. Mainly how we perceive the environment we are living in (and the environment that we can possibly live in).

My view on the world

I live in Hong Kong, Hong Kong is my “world”, and I know for a fact that I can “possibly” live in North Korea, Mars, the planet 50 light-years away from me, so they are all my “world”. Besides my ex’s heart, everything can be my “world”.

I don’t believe in either extreme. I don’t think I am that lonely (René Descartes) to the point that every friend and family member of mine is an interpretation and construction by my mind.

I don’t believe in the absolute existence of every material in this world (Karl Marx). I don’t think…
