Power of dissatisfaction, sounds odd right? I heard this idea in a podcast I heard yesterday (link), and it is somewhat like the positive Daniel’s dialogue. This inspired me to type this but with a bit of addition.

Dissatisfaction is inevitable in life, grassroots or aristocrats. We all have dissatisfaction. Limited time, limited resources, infinite want, restless ambition yields dwindling sense of competence. This often translates to sorrows and powerlessness, but for a lad that studied Economics, isn’t this familiar to you? Yes, scarcity, without scarcity, there is no Economics, without Economics, there is no the “current Daniel”. This means one’s dissatisfaction can be a delight for another.

Only when we know how to embrace the idea of devoid of ideal circumstances will we understand the true value of changes. We can’t make a change without knowing the inadequacies in the previous version. There will not be French Revolution without the corruption between the government, aristocrats, and nobility. There will not be a president named FDR without the dust bowl and the great crash. We must be dissatisfied by certain situations or people in order to be incentivised to make an improvement.

Oftentimes the sadder experience of one’s will be an impetus of a more matured mind. It’s not a charade, search it if you hold a grain of salt to this statement. A living example would be Billie Eilish. She has taken shits from peers and ex-boyfriends in such a young age, she was depressed – from interviews and her songs – and look at her not, one of the most matured and nice people at her age. This would hold water if the person didn’t capitalise the gift of dissatisfaction.

Dissatisfaction is the indicator for the missing colors in your life, either it’s within yourself or around you, it will be the godly thing to separate you from the ordinary. This is the sole reason why I am not an atheist. The predicament might be gods’/God’s move to fuel your dissatisfaction and thus changes. God or not, the strong fervour would be the most beneficial for changes and yet the most lethal for embracing. Instead of dwelling on the adversity you are facing, how about maneuvering your way into a larger rainbow.
