How Stoicism Works, happiness pill

In my opinion, Stoicism is often misinterpreted as forcing or telling yourself to be nonchalent. A lot of people will try to delude themselves into thinking losing a job is fine, girlfriends cheating on them is nothing.
No, it’s okay to be vulnerable, it’s okay to be a little beta bitch.
It’s about be rational and not affected by the incident afterwards. The instantenous response is inuitive and understandable.
It’s okay to be hit by a basketball and scream out of agony. There is nothing wrong with that. A lot of so-called Stoic teachers on YouTube are telling to, when you get hit by a basketball, you don’t shake, you don’t make a face. You should be still as a rock. No!!
You can move along with the ball. Just like how grass move along the wind. That’s how grass stand strong during a huricane and those “stoic” trees break apart.
This is because those YouTube teachers are telling you to deny human nature of having emotions. You can’t not have emotions. What’s so wrong about crying over my mother dying? Are you not made with blood and flesh?
It’s about how you cope with it in the long run. You know you can’t do a thing about Samantha leaving your poor ass and sleep with your rich uncle. You can’t do anything about…
