Gaza’s existence can be traced back thousands of years, with the region serving as a crucial base for various civilizations. The State of Israel was proclaimed by its founder, David Ben Gurion, in 1948. This event led to the expulsion or flight of over 700,000 Palestinians, most of whom were denied return.
