In a world obsessed with concrete answers and tangible evidence, the question arises: if we know there is no answer that can be grasped, why bother exploring the question at all? This philosophical conundrum is at the heart of a humorous yet thought-provoking dialogue that delves into the essence of inquiry and the nature of understanding.

Imagine sitting down with a friend, the conversation takes a sharp turn, and you find yourself discussing transcendental idealism. It’s the idea that our entire perception is limited to our five senses. If I mention an AirPod, you instantly recall its image, its sound, but can you perceive it beyond these senses? Is there a sixth sense, an unknown realm that exists beyond our sensory experiences? We don’t know, and often, we don’t even bother to ask.

“Why bother thinking about a question that doesn’t benefit my life?” my friend retorted. But therein lies the humor and the profound revelation: the mere act of exploring these questions can bring a sense of fulfillment. “All right, shut the f — up and hear me out,” I’d say with a playful grin, “what if the pursuit itself is what gives meaning to our lives?”

People often think that there must be an end to something for it to be meaningful. Yet, what if we treated the process as an end in itself?
