Clash of The Philosophy Titans
11th April 2023
Kant and Nietzsche, in a heated brawl,
Their ideas clashed, they stood tall,
Kant, the rationalist, claimed reason reigns supreme,
While Nietzsche, the existentialist, argued life’s a dream.
Kant spoke of the moral law, universal and true,
Nietzsche rejected it, claimed the will to power is due,
Kant believed in God, the source of all morality,
Nietzsche proclaimed God is dead, there’s no finality.
The two philosophers circled each other with care,
Their arguments sharp as blades, cutting the air,
Kant argued for a categorical imperative,
While Nietzsche scoffed, said life’s too subjective.
The fight raged on, each landing blows,
Kant’s moral universe versus Nietzsche’s chaos,
But in the end, they both fell down,
Their ideas shattered, their philosophies drowned.
For in the end, it’s not about who’s right,
But the struggle itself, the human plight,
To grapple with existence, to find our way,
To make sense of the world, day by day.
